Marc Fischer, CPM®, RPA, CCIM: As Senior Vice President / Director, Management Services, Marc supervises Transwestern's property management operation in Maryland - a portfolio of more than six million square feet. Marc is a frequent speaker for BOMA International and recently authored the organization's Foundations of Real Estate Management textbook. Marc will review strategies you can implement immediately to improve green practices at your properties for little or no cost in the following areas: recycling, water conservation, indoor air quality, heating and lighting, and reusing recyclable materials in TI and construction projects. Learn how to set goals; train team members, tenants and vendors; track performance; and measure/benchmark results. Rachel C. Hardesty: Rachel is an Associate at SD Keppler & Associates, LLC where she provides green existing building management consulting, green building policy administration, and LEED Certification Services consulting. Rachel will provide a general overview of LEED and LEED for Existing Buildings, discuss the newer LEED 3.0 that is on the horizon, along with general misconceptions of LEED and what it means to your bottom line. She will also review how to begin with the LEED EB process and present a case study.
